Last days I stayed in Hamburg, Germany for the Filemaker Conference. It was a great experience to meet all those developers from all around in Germany, Swiss and Austria. And Filemaker, Inc. sent two representatives: Heather Winkle (from USA) and Keith Harris (from UK). With more than 160 attendees, the conference was quite big for me. (I never attended WWDC...)
So on Wednesday evening, I arrived in Hamburg in the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel. I got my welcome bag and met other developers in the lobby. Later that night we walked with a nice group for a late dinner in the central district. It's impressive how many parks Hamburg has in that part of the city. From the hotel to the next train station you walk either through a nice park or along the Alster beach.
Saturday the keynote started and we got updated by Filemaker staff about what's new and coming. The days went quickly with more than 30 sessions and a lot of time to chat in the lobby. From about 8 o'clock in the morning to midnight there have always been a few people in the lobby chatting about Filemaker related topics. Especially as the WLAN was free down in the lobby
Thanks to the team organizing the conference, the referents for doing those great presentations, Filemaker for supporting this conference, the other sponsors for contributing and all the people for attending. See you next year on the conference.
